Low revs on start up...advice please

Pauliealdridge69 » Fri May 06, 2016 9:22 am

Hi all, bikes had a short lay up over winter and had a few health issues delaying getting her back out
I removed the carbs and cleaned the main jets, pilots plus the emulsion tubes. We're all reasonably clean. The brass tubes up from the float bowls were blocked so I blew those out.
Bike starts and ticks over low (1000 rpm) after 2/3 kicks with a little choke on
But revs don't raise up. Rev it it dies.If I raise the tick over with the thumb screw she just raises up easily. Take Choke off it sits at 3k as she warms I can take the tick over back down with the thumb screw.
Bike runs and rides perfectly no faults, all standard settings and exhaust. Been out for a couple of rides she's lovely (as she can be at 40bhp) perfect!
Turn her off and she kicks back over 2/3 kicks and is fine
Next day when cold struggles again
Am I looking at carbs off and blow them all back through again
Would this be a certain part to check clean?
I'm guessing it's maybe a choke pathway blocked?
Back off and clean out all holes and airways! But just wondering if anyone had some advice first on something I may have over looked
(Mc28 sp)
Cheers for any help Smile
