flywheel side crank seal

timmyboy757 » Tue Jun 14, 2016 8:08 pm

Hi Guys,

Daft question I know, I'm just rebuilding my MC21 engine and just wanted to check I'd got the flywheel side seal the right way around. To be honest theres only one way I could get the tabs to go into the grooves and that was with the metal side of the seal facing the flywheel side and the rubber side facing the crank web. What threw me I guess was that there is still about a 1mm wide space in the casings in front of the seal at the flywheel side when its inserted. I certainly cant see any need for a circlip or washer anywhere, but just wanted to check I'm right before I torque the casings down. thanks Smile
