Hello all. A few months back I purchased an MC28. It has been a life long dream to own one since watching Mick Doohan in the 90's. I am from Ireland so MC28's are next to impossible to buy here, so I made the decision to travel to the UK. I looked at one in a place called Chris Hall motorcycles in Doncaster. It was a beautiful bike but to be honest he wasn't very nice and asked for wayyy to much money for what it was.
I was looking here and there and then I got a message on here about a bike near London. I got in contact with the owner and he sent me pictures. I know you cant go off pictures some lad on the internet sends you but my God this bike looked MINT!!!!! So we emailed back and forth and I rang him a few times. He sent me about 30 pictures of the bike and I was very happy that it was what he said. So I decided to travel from Ireland to the UK to have a look. Me, my father and my best friend Paddy (yes I know how cliche it sounds) drove to London in a small Renault Kangoo. Leaving home at about 6am and getting to Aaron's house near London at about 7 or 8pm. When I saw the bike I instantly fell in love. I took it for a "small" test drive and checked it over head to toe. It had Tyga race pipes and end cans and Tyga carbon air box lid, the jets were fitted to suit these mods as well. All the original parts were with it too. So I bought it and then we had to cram it into the back of a 1.2 Petrol Renault Kangoo. It wasn't long before interior panels and pieces had to come off the van but it just about fitted in. Literally 'JUST' about fitted. It made it back home safe and sound after a grueling by Welsh customs on the ferry.
Overall I am absolutely delighted with it. However there was one problem I had last week. I was driving flat out in 5th gear, pulled in on the clutch to kick 6th but missed it (I dont know how) left out on the clucth and I was still in 5th and back full on the throttle. I let off the throttle and then it died. I rolled to a stop and turned off the bike. I put the card back in and tried to kick it but no luck. so a friend push started me and still nothing. I brought it back home charged the battery for 2 hours and boom she started fine. Was this just a low battery or did I flood it. It working fine ever since but It was a scary moment when you are flat out on a back road. any advice??
Thanks for reading and below are pic's of the bike.
