I had some OEM pipes gutted and welded back up... didn't weigh much less than stock! They worked well though. I'd go as far as to say, better than any aftermarket set you can buy, unless you really need a couple hundred RPM past peak power!

Stock chambers work better than every set of "race" pipes we've tested for the vast majority of configurations/conditions. As mentioned though, a pair of stainless race pipes with cans weigh about 1/2 a standard chamber... and they're shiny!
