Not quite as light as carbon (although the difference between the NSR500V carbon/alloy tanks is minimal), and easier/cheaper to repair if they are damaged. The alloy tanks can also be easily modified for quick fillers and breathers.

Just my 2p, for possible consideration.


Thanks andy always good to have other views. Alloy tanks are already available in Japan though for both models although they are a pretty penny to buy.
