We've had great results with the stock chambers and aftermarket silencers, however they are extremely heavy and don't rev. (Well, they will rev, but I mean peak power is made noticably lower than with race pipes, which can affect overall performance.)
The idea with using an aftermarket silencer that is a direct fit is that the setup can be easily reverted to stock, which maintains value, and is also necessary in some markets to pass annual inspections.
