Story so far:
Bought a race mc18 (early model think it's a 2j) in january, sorted (I thought through everything during the last few months. Went to Donnington to do a track day this week and the bike did a few laps and went onto 1 (the rear) cylinder all of a sudden (not intermitently).
The scitsu rev counter runs off the front ht lead and this stopped working at the same time, so the front coil is not sparking. I swapped this with the rear and it worked on the rear. (not the coil or plug).
I have checked continuity from coil wires back to the pgm, and from the pick up coils back to pgm.Also have checked the pick up coils.
There is no sign of the pgm or regulator/rectifier getting hot etc.
The bike runs a total loss system no battery ( not the best I know but it's how it came.
Also the pgm is different to my mates mc18, mine has only 12 wires (2 blocks and a yellow wire, is this standard mc18 2j.
