Sorry, I misread the post and thought it just said "started without a problem".
Definitely a good idea to clean and check the carbs. Pay close attention to the tiny holes in the slow jets, and the small power jets. Be very careful when removing the alloy screws to access the power jets, and use a good size close-fitting screwdriver, as the screws are easily damaged.
