Nice looking bike! How did you manage to import it to Canada? I know in the US it varies from State to State.

I don't think this bike is good for a long highway ride, like it's a street bike but not sure if it's does well under constant high rpm.

My quick suggestions are: 1. use good 2t oil. 2. top end rebuild every 10k miles or so. 3. Don't leave it alone for too long.
