Personally, I've never seen anything to justify the cost of iridium plugs. BR9ECM work perfectly and last forever, so long as you don't flood them. Even so, I can categorically say, in 25 years, I've never had [or seen] one fail. I'm sure they have, for someone somewhere, but it's certainly not something forums are filled with, and I believe it's pretty much the standard plug for all the 90s 2-stroke race reps.

Exactly this^^^^^^^, nothing wrong with the BR9CEM, and easy enough to get hold of, although I ran the R5300A in mine for several years with no problems, the only downfall with these is they are about £45 a pop, if you can find them, I am lucky to have a good stash, as these are the recommended plug for the NF5, so I have been accumulating them over the years.
