My own personal opinion Max, the only benefit is aesthetics, my 21 track bike had a well set up standard front end, and performed faultlessly, just ask Johnnymac who now owns that bike, and after riding countless track 21 and 28's some fitted with rvf front ends, he couldn't believe how well mine handled, and swears he will not change it one bit. Value wise, I think it depends who is buying said bike, the purist and collector looking for future investment will want the oem stuff and be prepared to pay a premium, where as on the other hand there are an awful lot of people looking for the modified stuff, for instance, myself, I prefer a well sorted track bike over a concours road bike.
