Hi,

The small bearing is an open bearing which you tap in from the inside of the clutch cover. Please note it does not sit flush with the aluminium face and sits a couple/few mm higher than the face.

The seal which you insert from the outside of the clutch cover has a flat surface which should face outside towards the water impeller cover. Spring side of the seal faces inside towards the small bearing.

You can almost insert the seal by hand and make sure it goes in evenly.

The mechanical seal can be installed with a 26mm socket although the best method would be with a hydraulic press to make sure it goes in properly without any distortion.
