Tricky one. We've pulled motors apart with cracked bridges, that ran perfectly, and have no idea how long they've run like it before discovery. Could've been hours, could've been years!

HRC's official stance:

"You should stop using cracked cylinder. (Fig.4)"



In my experience, welded (repaired) barrels invariably crack again.

Yes, a very diplomatic reply, but experience tells me not to publicly advise here any course of action other than what Honda recommends. Too many ***holes out there, and I don't need the hassle! 🙄
