Update.
It’s fixed and working! I replaced the 2 capacitors that blew, the fast recovery diode, the rectifier diode and a small ceramic capacitor. Plugged it in and it started first kick, my bike has never started first kick in all the time I’ve owned it and there is a knack to starting it usually but not anymore
The tricky part was removing the potted in board from the metal casing because some of the components needed to be soldered in from the back. Massive thank you to Bushman for sending me a dead PGM unit that I could destroy working out how to remove the board from the potting without snapping the board, it really helped me out.
If anyone needs any help with fixing a PGM in the future then let me know and I’ll try and point you in the right direction.
