Hi Nick, you shouldn't have a problem with Mot, all you need is, continous horn, rear reflecter, and no lights whatsoever, once you fit one light ie brake light, you then need all lights, you can fix a brake light after mot, if you so wish, for safety etc, you also dont need a speedo for mot, although you need one legally if stopped by plod, i use to fix a cycle one from Halfords, i know it all sounds odd, but strangely a lot of mot stations are not up to speed with this type of mot, and there is no such thing as a daytime mot, the tester should make a note that no lights were fitted at time of test, i have run many bikes over the years with this mot and still have one like it now.
