Carb needle identification

Ken M » Tue Feb 20, 2024 10:08 pm

I'm working on getting a 1988 NSR250 back on the road. The bike is complete but has been sitting for a while so a cleaning out and rebuilding of the carbs was necessary. I bought a carb rebuild kit that includes needles. The needles that came out of the carbs were stamped BPD and BPE. Correct for the bike according to published specs. The rebuild kit needles are identified as D680S and D681S. Are these comparable to the original needles and, if so, how do these numbers relate to the original needles?

Thanks,

Ken
