Today ive stripped and checked the front cylinder, it’s all fine but I’ve put new rings on just for good measure and rebuilt it. I also stripped the intakes down to check the reeds. No gaskets fitted and about a full tube of three bond by the looks of it, so much it had ran down on to the reed blocks and reeds. All cleaned up (eventually) and refitted with new gaskets.
Just need a top cylinder now and I’ll be ready to go (again) .
