HRC Spec Link Plates for the Rear Suspension.

Hudtm60 » Sun Jan 26, 2025 10:49 pm

I thought I would make this a separate thread to try and show the difference between stock and OEM. Literally years ago Andy suggested. "While it's all apart, I'd strongly recommend a set of HRC spec link plates for the rear suspension. This will lift the rear about 50mm and quicken the steering, and also increase the rising rate of the shock, which is always going to be a little under damped/spring for us [usually] heavier western riders"

So I got some, sadly not from Performance Engineering which is where I should've got them, but on e-bay I think...

Anyway....here's the differences...note you can flip the HRC plates so it changes the geometry. To be honest I'm not sure which way to go. #1 or #2. I don't want to do anything that will change the stance so much that components start interfering with each other.

It's clearly not an exact science because I'm free holding the camera but I think you get the idea. It looks like Position #2 throws the swingarm down the lowest thus raising the backend the highest.
