Aside from being made super welcome by the entire Dorset section of the VJMC who took me under their wing despite the fact I live nowhere near their region, I also made new friends so a BIG THANKS and big thumbs up to them
For various reasons I couldn’t attend the show on Saturday so arrived early Sunday morning and greeted by the VJMC team (Family) with some very un-expected news, the old girl had won a prize – the least glamourous of the NSR trilogy had only grabbed top stop “Best in show for the 1980’s section” … As I’d only attended to scratch an itch and for all intents and purposes make up the numbers to say I was surprised would be an understatement!

So proud of the old girl -she scrubbed up well

And to top it off even got a Trophy

Chas Mortimer and Alex George presented the prizes, must confess and to my shame I had to Google them to find out who they were. Propper legends especially Chas Mortimer.

Love this bike just need to get Mr Gardner to autograph it and then I’ll totally made up.

Anyway in a WARHOL esq way I guess that’s my fleeting 15 minutes of fame done
