Fuel tap hits frame

anonymous.shyster » Wed Jul 23, 2025 10:21 am

Hey all,

Fuel tap has always had an issue with being close and hitting the frame, but I just installed a new genuine fuel tap, and it hits really badly. I tried clocking the assembly in the tank more than a few times to get it in to the 'sweet spot' but cannot seem to - it just hits the frame especially when in "OFF" position. If I move it to aim further towards the rear of the bike it collides with the stock airbox and I cannot get the tank on. I am not sure if there is a trick to this? Or do I perhaps have the wrong plastic fuel extension from owners previous?

I saw TYGA have a 3D printed "shorty" fuel tap plastic bit, would this be a solution? Thanks!
