I don't know if a same thread has been posted. Anyway how do I break-in a new set of top-ends?
What we do with the inline fours is first we warm the engine for several minutes and gradually rev it to 6,000rpm then up again then 7000rpm then up again the 8,000rpm for several minutes.
Afterwards, we ride it like hell. The purpose is to make the piston rings seat with the cylinder wall by using the back pressure the engine has created. 1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear then down shift to 2nd then pop it a gear higher then another then another then going down again to the lowest we can apply. We don't rev the engine to much when at nuetral as it does not give the desired effect we are looking for.
Now the question is, will this technique apply with the 2 strokers? If not, what will be the best thing to do? How much ratio of 2T oil should be mixed in connection with the fuel?
