At the end of the day, a regulator rectifyer simply has to convert the wildly fluctuating AC voltage coming from the alternator, into a steady DC voltage just above 12, in order to keep the battery topped up.
First job is to rectify the voltage to DC, then regulate the level to keep the bike electric systems going.
Almost all reg/rects work on our small bikes. It's only the bigger bikes with heated grips and the like that need more power.
