I think Stephen is saying do one or the other. If you continue to use 25:1, then increase the mains a couple of sizes to compensate for the fact both petrol (gas) AND oil are passing through the jets. Same goes for the slow (pilot) jets. Increasing them from a #38 to a #40 may help.

If you adjust the premix to a more suitable ratio like HRC's recommended 30:1 or maybe down to 33:1 as Stephen suggests, then a main jet increase of maybe just 1 size (i.e. 112) may be enough, and you probably won't even need to touch the slow jets as Honda generally jet a little rich anyway.

Make sure you are using the highest quality fully synthetic 2-stroke oil you can lay your hands on too, as that will most likely burn cleaner and therefore could smoke less.
