You are correct in saying the chassis number is off the later model.
The Rothmans SP was 1000001 to 1006013 so you have a paint job.
I would not worry if I were you as it must be a decent paint job otherwise you would not be asking the question!
If you sell it only a true NSR geek would pick up on it.
