Well youll have lots of people say

"Oh yeah there ace!!!! You will notice a diffrence thats for sure"

But if you can turn that into a quicker lap i dont know it depends on how good a rider you are, I tried the se rear shock on my R and to be honest i didnt like it so swapped it back, Billy (Monkey) runs a rebuilt SP/SE unit and swears by it he had it rebuilt by K-Tech (look em up) @ £70

As for me im gona get one, more to do with looks than making the bike go better, but hopefully ill get both. SAD yes, and im sure a few comments will follow. so for me its an Ohlins..

The only bike i have bought a rear shock for and noticed a huge improvment was my ZXR, it transformed the bike into a very fast and stable conering tool! That was a technoflex not ohlins and it worked VERY well. Nigel on this site runs a Technoflex and isnt getting on with it.??!!!!

PS tyga have a SE/SP rear shock for sale $150 i think?
