MC21SE... 11 years and the pump's still working.
Pre-mix on the street is a pain in the ass! You need to carry a bottle of oil around (OK if you have stock bodywork I suppose) and need to do the silly wiggly dance on the petrol station forecourt, but you do get to measure the exact oil ratio of your choice. You also loose the weight of the components (although you are still carrying around up to a litre of 2T oil in a bottle!) and gain better access to some parts of the motor.
Downside? When you run out of fuel and/or hit reserve at 12,000rpm in top (and that's where it always seems to happen, just so you think you seized it!), you will supply no oil to the crank or the barrels all the time it takes you to get the clutch in and/or turn the fuel tap. With a pump, as long as the drive gear is turning, and there's oil in the tank, it will keep on injecting.
It's all down to personal choice. I'm a lazy bugger and can't be bothered with the hassle myself!
