I'm not sure how to remove the powervalve barrel, I tried just pulling really hard and that didn't work...I don't want to buy a specialised tool for this so any suggestions would be great.

Also one of my cylinder heads looks as if the metal has deformed - the inside surface is very rough..could be baked on crap but I doubt it - will post a picture after I clean it up.
