It has been a while since I made it out to Tokyo last, but I think I did go to that shop you mentioned. If it was in the UENO area than I probably went, sorry I can't remember the names, but I spent the entire day or about 8 hours just hanging around and found some old Rothmans stickers, iron on patches and bought some HRC parts.
If anybody ever makes a trip to Tokyo, make sure to take some time and stop by UENO. There might not be as many NSR or NSR parts as there used to be, but still lots of fun things to see. Just watch out not to take pictures inside CORIN or you might get escorted out with a friendly smile.
I actually got me brand new corin lower. Really nice piece but it doesn't fit my upper at all. My mistake though, I assumed that the upper I had was a corin piece.
BTW... Can any of you identify this mystery upper?
Hi JohnBlaze, that is a very nice NSR you got there. I see lots of cool custom parts there and cool stand too. Sorry I don't know what kind of upper that is you have there, but it looks pretty cool. I think Corin was selling a brand of fiberglass bodywork called PROUD for a while a bit ago and then it dissapeared or maybe they changed the name. It might be that....but can not guarantee.
What kind of forks are those on your Repsol? Interesting
I actually stopped in UENO for just over a week when i was in Japan (not really the nicest place we had stopped) But it is pretty centrally located (only a short train ride away from AKIHABARA ) and this is also where the SKYLINER has a station .
My hotel was about 4-5 shops away from CORIN ,I dont ever think i have seen so many bike shops in one area ever they are on both sides of the highway and down all the little side streets for about a mile or so truly impressive and a definite must see if ever in Japan.
