That stuff is comformal coating, and is generally highly carcinogenic. Do whatever yo do, don't breathe in the fumes or dust!

Methods vary, from grinding it off with a dremel type tool, to burning it off. I've not had a PGM apart so couldn't say for sure. Someone was gonna try and get me one to fix, so I could see what goes wrong and if we can mod them to prevent it happening again. Can't remember who it was now. Any offers from someone with a blown PGM?
