Relax, money schmoney, I swapped my perfect RVF400 for my '28, this is the breakdown I put up on another forum to point out to some idiot that you can't base a bikes value on what it owes you (he was trying to sell an NC30 for £6k+!)

As I said the NSR was a direct swap for the RVF which I'd spent about a grand on;

To aquire this RVF400 I part chopped (well not really, NSRMonkey gave the the offer price for it and I gave the shop the £££ after we'd agreed to the p/x) a CBR400 and £2300.
To get the CBR400 I p/x'ed an RS125sp Aprilia and £2k
The Aprilia cost me £2200
The NSR rebuild cost £1460
Magteks for NSR £600
Running total is therefore
£2200 for RS125
£2000 extra for CBR400
£2300 extra for RVF400
£1000 spent on RVF400
£2060 spent on NSR250
I make that £9560 and it doesn't actually run right now!

So yes, you did OK.
