being in ireland with the mega cold and snow in winter, i'd throw in coolant with antifreeze in it (debatable anyone?). If you can drink your tap water its good enough for an engine i reckon so long as its clear. Buy a bottle of concentrate from your local bike shop and mix it up to their spec's one litre at a time and add.

would have thought bleeding it would have been done by running it to operating temp without radiator cap on and giving it a few revs. shut it down with cap on let it cool down check radiator water level.

Thats what I'd do....
