yes, the closer the clip is to the (laughing) pointy end the richer the set up. What you have done is raised the needle therefore letting more fuel though the needle jet.
... from top to bottom, (bottom being the pointy end) each grove is numbered so on the top clip ( clip pos 1 ) you are running the weakest set up for that needle and bottom clip ( clip pos 5 ) you are running the richest set up.
So if someone ever says run it on clip 2, they mean run the needle with the clip on the second grove.... that one away from the furthest away from the pointy end. And if you understand that well done!
