as far as i can remember some years a go(mid 90`s)yamaha and ford got together and made a 1200cc 2 stroke engine and fitted it to some fiestas(cars)and gave them to the police to use.i was working for a ford dealer at the time and remember reading the press releases from ford,the tecnology they used seemed to be the same as what you are talking about.i dont know what came of the trial.also when damon hill was driving for arrows(f1 team)yamaha were the engine suppliers and i think there was talk about yamaha making a 3litre f1 engine that used the 2 stroke tecnology you were talking about.
