Just got my engine running after an 8 month rebuild and have found that it missfires on the front cylinder. It starts and runs fine for 5 mins and then starts to miss, only firing on the top pot between 4500 to 7500 before cutting back in. This gradually worsens to 2000 - 9500 before the front pot fires again. I am thinking that it is getting to much fuel and can only burn it when there are enough sparks at high revs. I presume it will be carb related as i didn't drain the fuel from the carbs until about 1 month ago before re-building it. Which side feeds the front pot and how easy are they to strip.?. Carbs are like black magic to me, fuel goes in and power comes out!! ( usually) Thanks for any help offered.
