OK, here's the latest development on the pipes.
First the test bike (mine! ) was run up and the jetting checked against previous data. The initial run was within 1/2hp of the previous test, but indicated the carburetion was slightly rich, so the top cylinder was dropped a size, and a baseline run was made.
The blue trace shows my MC21SE with Ethos Design race pipes. The red trace is from the "chosen" NSR-WORLD pipes, with no jetting changes - only the pipes exchanged.
As you can see from the graph, the NSR-WORLD pipes don't quite rev as far as the Ethos pipes, but from 7000rpm onwards they are producing better power. At 10500rpm, where it really counts for most of us - especially on the road, they are producing over 4hp more!
We have an "over-rev" pipe too, which on exactly the same settings too, produced 67.4hp @ 11500rpm (some 2.2hp more than the Ethos), but we considered them too peaky for road use, although this again was with unchanged/unoptimised jetting.
Pipes are mild steel and will be finished in satin black. Prices are yet to be confirmed, and will most likely be manufactured to suit MFactoryWest silencers, although I am looking for a more cost-effective alloy alternative. I still envisage a price of approximately £250 + silencers.
We would like to hear from MC21 owners via e-mail only, who are interested in pre-ordering please.
Depending on interest, we will consider other models at a later date. We have MC16, MC18, and MC21 "jigs"!
