I have always done a light ball hone to the cylinder(s) when replacing rings to de-glaze the cylinder(s). I've done it for 15 years and never had a problem. Accutally, I just had a melt down not long ago and had to rigid hone a cylinder which is a big no-no works great though. New cylinders have cross hatch marks in them when there are new so someone is honing these cylinders _________________ 1995 A kit TZ 250
