The parts manual is a little misleading... sorry, I didn't translate that section!
Fit only the oil seal to the pump, making sure it's firmly pressed into place. Then slide the shaft into pump.
The thrust washer sits between the crank case and the pump shaft, and is basically there to stop the steel shaft from wearing the alloy casing. A bit crude, but it does the job.
You can remove/fit the oil pump with the engine casing/water pump drive in place. As the pump is lowered in to place, the drive gear will simply turn and mesh with the plastic water pump gear.
