For example, a 1990 F3 MC21 built with all HRC parts is reportedly 72hp - a 1990 HRC RS250R NF5 is reportedly 74hp "out of the box", before you start playing with it!
Like I say, the weight difference (and much better suspension) makes a hell of a difference. An F3 spec' NSR is a rapid piece of kit... you should try one!!

The thing is, it shows just how close an 89~91 NSR can be to an RS though!
*Note: HRC book figures. There were plenty of HRC kit parts to boost the power of a "standard" RS, as well as Jha, MotoBUM, iFactory, HARC Pro, KISS Racing parts etc., but the bikes were never making as much power as we were led to believe.
All it does is make those of us who are honest enough to accept it, realise just how talented the guys who raced them really were.
