Spring rates ?

jkolewski » Sat Sep 02, 2006 11:32 am

Hello all,

Getting ready to install my NX5 forks next week and was not sure of what springs to start with. They came with .70 from Japan and I'm thinking thats way to light. I'm weighing in at 175lbs no gear. Before the new forks and bodywork the NSR weighs in at 273lbs and eaisly 10 lbs less with my new goodies. The HRC springs in my Stock SP forks are .95. I've got a set of .85 progressive R1 springs I was going to try. Yes I know its a Yamadog spring but its really just a Kayba or Shoa spring. The less times I have to crack open the forks the better!!!
