What you will most likely need to do is open the airbox up a little. 4 x 20~25mm holes in the top will do the job (you can tape 1 or 2 off to "fine tune" it!), then do a plug chop.
With no other modifications I suspect you will be OK on stock jetting, but you need to check the carbs are actually stock to start with! If you've never been inside them you can't be entirely sure they are stock anyway!!
As always, you can never guarantee anything. I know of at least one person on this very forum that did the wiresplice, opened the airbox, then went down on the stock jetting!!
