I don't know Randy Norian personally, but he's been in and around the 2-stroke scene for years, and I am sure there are a couple of guys on the Forum Stateside that know him and would vouch for him.

If you're worried about paying an advance because of the weather, that's fair enough, but if it's for "some other reason", then I wouldn't worry.
