Depends where you live. It's so hard here I don't even use it in my kettle unfiltered.

Cooling on a 2 smoke is pretty crucial, so I spend the extra and get the ready mixed stuff, especially as it holds so little. (Even less when the coolant pipe falls out of the cylinder )
