Sold last night for very close to the asking price. Buyer came armed with full check sheet and pictures from a certain Jamie based in Japan who I assume everyone knows.
Please note the bike was not misrepresented, and 'SP' appears nowhere in the advert, because I could not be certain. You never can, particularly with an import. The guys knew exactly what they were buying and took a good hour examining it in detail. As I said it was very nice and clean, and very lightly used. I think they have got a good bike for a fair price.
Hope it raises the value of some of your bikes a tad. Classic Japanese bikes seem to be increasing in value at the moment, and I guess there is only a small dwindling supply of NSRs now in the UK. I sold my TZ350 and TR3 a few years ago for a good price, although I had to wait for the right buyer. The TZ in particular in now probably worth more than twice what I sold it for, and I sold in for more than twice what I paid for it. a few year's before (from Neal Tuxworth).
The NSR has gone into what looks like a private collection, and I have a few bits and pcs left, and some spares and tuning stuff I bought some while ago, which I assumed they would have no use for, but have no real idea what they are worth. I was toying with the idea of racing it when I first bought it, but in fact bought an RS250 Honda instead from Neal Hodgson's father (who used to import them). I have some NSR tuning parts, some new, mostly never fitted. I came to the conclusion they are best just derestricted and then left alone for the road, but I guess you lot will disagree. I'll get around to advertising them here when I can find them, find out exactly what I have got and what they are worth.
Thanks for all the replys posted.
I might get another RS250 (Honda). If I do will I be allowed on your track days?
Thanks
Mike
