smoke out of right hand pipe....

mat grant » Tue Sep 26, 2006 6:25 pm

Hi all,

I got my MC16 out for a ride today - first time for about 8 months. At startup there was tons of smoke out of the right hand pipe - and I mean tons - a big cloud, lasted for about five mins as I warmed the bike up, then for about 1/2 a mile on the road.

It cleared after that and both pipes were clear by the time I got back.

Does this mean my crank seals are knadgered? or is it normal - I saw the other post about more smoke out of one pipe....

Also there is a bit of bottom end noise (there always has been - well it did cost £350! Laughing Is it worth rebuilding the crank with new seals? Can you get new seals? Will it cost big bucks?

Forks a bit divey, steering not perfect but had a good blast on the thing - forgotten what fun it is to ride.... Very Happy

Cheers, Mat.
