Two strokes finished 1st and 2nd in the first F400, Alan winning and Mark J riding shot gun. That put Alan 2points behind Dave Alsop (FZR) who finished 3rd. Next race the diesels struck back but Alan finished in front of Dave to lead the F400 going into Sunday.
Sunday it was looking good until back markers intervened at the mountain on the last lap and it all changed. The 400's led home and Dave took a two point advantage.
The last race and it was all to play for. Alan had a bad start dropping back to 8th. But with a ten lap race positions changed. Alan slowly made his way up putting in a flying 1'39.95" last lap to break Dave. Andy Whittley 250 'Prilia rode shot gun and kept the pesky 400's off Alan's tail. With race winner Paul Ellerker being docked 10 seconds for over taking on a yellow (obviously DP race control more up to the job than Motogp) Alan took the win with Andy second.
All of Sundays F400 races were thrilling with 4 or 5 riders battling for the lead. Ring-a-dings actually out scoring the 400's for the first time.
