Check the TPS while you have the multimeter handy. Part of the ignition system but it is a mechanical part.
Can't be specific on the resistance numbers (9k?) but they should change smoothly when it is rotated.
Someone who will remain anonymous spent a lot of time and effort to sort my bike only to discover a faulty TPS.
He knows who he is and that I appreciate what he did.
