Thats why I said that Roy.It's sound's like the clutch is just engaging when the clutch lever is fully out that's why he need to rev it to 7 to get it moving.


This is my point. If there were two bearings behind the pusher it wouldn`t allow the outer pressure plate to come back far enough to engage & "clutch" the plates. Thus not transmitting drive to the gearbox.
If there was no bearing, pulling in the clutch lever would result in the clutch "dragging", meaning it would try to pull forwards when the clutch is fully pulled in. You`d probably have to adjust the cable as far as it will go to get the clutch to release properly.
