Hey guys,
i'm new to this forum and its my first post .... thought i'd come to a place where there are more experts on the topic. if i get the bike, might be seeing more of me too
saw an ad for a nsr150sp which has had the piston blown, since i'm new to 2-strokes, and most of my experience has been with 4-stroke trailbikes and cars (as im relatively new to riding), was wondering if anybody could offer advice on shaft-repair or replacement. had a search on the forum before posting so forgive me if i've overlooked a relevant post. any advice appreciated:
NSR 150 SP 2001 with 15,000 kms on the clock.
Blew the piston and damaged the shaft (piston and rings $250 honda geniune, shaft recoated or replaced unknown). To suit a learner project bike as the engine is very simple and can be played with easily. This is my 2nd two strokes and im sick of rebuilding them. If no one buys it i will replace broken components and sell it at twice the price.
10 months rego, no bottom engine or rear tail-light fairings.
Has new tyres, brake pads.
Claims it will cost around $400 to get it on the road (not including the fairings).
