I know what you mean Matt. It is stunning, but buying it would, I think, leave me feeling just, well, 'hollow' somehow. Like, what do you do with/to it? It's all already been 'done'. And there'd be that feeling that it's only going to degrade as you use it.

I'm the same with new bikes though. I just can't imagine buying a brand new bike and watching it slowly 'rot' over time. Much more satisfying to buy something older and improve it. There's a real sense of optimism and achievement in that.

Or maybe I'm just a tightwad?
