Well I assume that when you ordered the HRC card you gave the guy (or gall) the PIN number from the back of the PGM unit. This allows Honda to program the card to your bike. All you have to do now is perform the wire splice and bingo the bike is derestricted.

Edit: When you finally get is derestricted and put in the new HRC card, the letters 'SP' appear on the dash. DO NOT REMOVE THE CARD till these letters disappear and are replaced by the big temp gauge.

Not quite sure what happens if you do remove the card during this process, but it's likely to end up in a minor nuclear detonation and your MC28 being scattered across a 5 mile radius.......or perhaps not!
